 Who are your influences?
Lee Rees: I'm not really sure! I guess you could say that my use of pianos come from listening to early hardcore and house music.
How did you feel about getting to number 1 on the sound click internet charts?
I was a bit shocked, I know it's only a website but I'm sincirely astounded by the sheer number of deaf people that voted me to the top above all the commercial RnB. I was really pleased but I think without the vocals not many people would have bothered with my remix.
Who is your favourite song writer?
Dunno about song writer but my favourite producer in the garage scene is definatly MJ Cole, I guess songwriter would have to be artfull dodger. Outside of garage my favourite songwriter is probably Annie Lennox. She's been remixed hard by every dance producer out there! Her voice is amazing too especially on "must be an angel". Don't tell no one I said that cos if anybody asks if I like that tune you know I'm blatently denying it!!
Any tips for up and coming producers?
Get yourself the cheapest crappiest keyboard money can buy, get a copy of reason, throw a few chords and hit quantize. it seems to work for me.
Where do you see yourself heading in the future?
To keep pushing my style.
